Liney Figueroa

Marvin Law office scholarship winner 2019
Hello! My name is Liney Figueroa, and I am a sophomore at Alma College! I am a major in psychology and a minor in biology, with the career goals of studying medicine to be a pediatrician. I was born in Huajuapan de León, Oaxaca, México. Being born in México, means I am part of DACA, and being part of DACA has helped me in so many ways, especially when it comes to obtaining a higher education.

This past fall semester of 2019, I was blessed enough to receive the Marvin Law DACA scholarship. This scholarship has helped my parents and I, not have an additional financial burden of college expenses. This scholarship has helped me focus more on my classes and my education as a whole. Which I will forever be thankful for. Thank you to Marvin Law for constantly supporting DACA students!
